  personally, i think it has about 10 years before the org's leadership disolves and the religion splinters into hundreds of adorable little jw-like cults..

  X-Witnesses and Faders - have you had a help them return visit yet?

  with the watchtower study about helping 'lost sheep' return, i have been half expecting a visit.

  i have mentally rehearsed how i should handle the situation, which is fairly tricky as i still have family in.

  but no call yet.

  Nope, but we are expecting a visit since our blow out with my father in law in December. The apostate rumour has started about Agent Smith and I, and I now know it has moved at astonishing speed. The story had to be retold about 5 times to get to our source (on the inside).

  The suits don't know where we live. However members of the congregation where we were last attending may have our phone number.

  But I am certain that my f.i.l will co operate and sell us out. He will give the Men in Black our address. The apostate rumour started there after all.

  Dr. refuses to write out my standing prescription.

  since i was about 10 i've been on thryoid medication.

  it is the same medication i take every month.

  i had my last blood tests done 6 months ago.

  I'm also on thyriod med. My doc only takes bloods every 2 years. My daughter goes every six months cause she's still growing and her meds are adjusted every six months. Get another GP

  Family is shunning us.

  mrs smith and i have faded away for many years.

  we knew the day will come that we would be questioned directly what our stand is.. this past holidays we were confronted by our jw family.

  we told them the truth, we are not jw's anymore and that we go to any church that strikes our fancy.

  Thanks for all your kind words. We are starting to feel a bit better about the family issues. It was just such a horrible experience. My parents are also JW but all three of their kids have left the borg so they have decided to still talk to us. I know my mom would not be able to cut all of her kids off. I think that's what makes it so hard for Agent Smith, his folks cut him off and my pioneer parents haven't.

  barbara anderson was on & believe me blew my mind about the lies in the wt.

  when i was "ousted"in 1987 i was out "in the world" still believing it was the truth.

  What is South Africa like?

  we were talking about places we would like to visit one day and i mentioned cape town.

  sometimes, all the news we get or the pictures we see of another country, are slanted toward what is bad and we don't get to see what a country is really about.

  i was wondering how many on here are from or have been to cape town and what it's really like?

  Hi, Sorry it's taken me so long to post I don't visit this site often. I live in Cape Town and love the city. The wine routes are stunning. as Loubelle said Stellenbosch is a good place to start. There is also Durbanville Hill wine route, I live 5min away from one of the wine estates, there is also Paarl and Franschoek. If you stick to the man routes and don't wonder off into the ghetto type arears crime is well under control. Just be careful of pick pockets and petty thieves that look for soft targets. The beaches are beautiful and a day at Camps Bay is a must. The inner cities market in Long Street is worth a visit. A visit to Table mountain is an experience. If you're very fit you can walk up the mountain and travel back down with the cable cart. Just make sure it's a clear day and you have someone with a bit of experiece to go with you. Let me know when you're planning a visit. I will be happy to be your tour guide!

  There is a lovely restaurant on the beach in Langeban called "Strantlooper" meaning beach walker, they do a seafood feast that is a truely South African experience.

  December through to February is the best weather but March and early April is also still great just a bit cooler. Winter May - July is rain, rain and more rain. August - Nov is wind, wind and more wind.

  Being the "chosen one" also meant he was regularly "raped and sodomised" by multiple church elders from an early age till he was about 15, he said.

  As he got bigger and stronger "they would just bring in extra men," Dixon said.

  This poor man needs help. As bad as some JW's are they are not a society of gang raping elders.

  Typical of a JW to confuse metal illness with demon possesion.
